Nick Perri Blues Rock Quartet Mount Holly To Receive Key To City In New Jersey Birthplace
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Mount Holly Township Mayor Richard DiFolco will present MOUNT HOLLY - Nick Perri's new musical group, whose name mirrors the Burlington County Township in which it formed - with the Key to the City on August 6, 2015. An official ceremony will take place in front of the Municipal Building on Washington Street, where the band will become the first of its kind to receive this honor.

Following this announcement, Perri revealed MOUNT HOLLY will headline this year's Hollystock - the township's annual music, arts and craft beer festival - on August 8. Mayor DiFolco commends the group for its contributions to the music industry and connection to the southern New Jersey community.

"Our town has always had a love for music," said DiFolco. "There is no denying the impact Nick and his sister, Christina, have made to music over the past 15 years, and we are proud that the Perri family calls Mount Holly 'home.' Having their new band carry our town's name only adds to our pride. It will be an honor to present them with the Key to the City, and to have them as part of our fourth annual Hollystock Festival."

"This is really a tremendous honor," said Perri, former Silvertide guitarist and MOUNT HOLLY co-founder. "Mount Holly was the birthplace of this band, and my family has had roots here for more than 50 years. It's something we're all looking forward to very much, and, of course, getting on stage and playing on Main Street will be an incredible experience."

MOUNT HOLLY will continue its residency at The Sayers Club in Los Angeles with a performance on May 7. Tickets may be purchased through the venue's website. In addition, the group will announce a handful of East Coast tour dates this summer, featuring stops in New York City (August 13) and Philadelphia (August 14).

MOUNT HOLLY garnered significant attention last month with a music video release for its debut single, "It Ain't Easy." The video earned a fifth-place ranking in Loudwire's Battle Royale Video Countdown, competing against more than 25 music videos from mainstream rock and roll groups. Since the release, the band has received praise from influential publications, including Classic Rock Magazine and Screamer Magazine.
