Guards Of May To Release Debut Album 'Future Eyes' On August 14, 2015
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Guards of May are at the forefront of the new wave of exciting, pulsing, all-encompassing Australian rock music. Their debut album 'Future Eyes' is due for release on Friday August 14th. Guards of May are etching their mark into the proud tradition of amazing Australian Rock and Progressive music making noise all around the world. The album will be available for pre-order on iTunes from Monday June 29th.

The five-piece from Brisbane, Australia have constructed the intricate, intense, intelligent hook-laden album in Gold Coast's Loose Stones Studios alongside Matt Bartlem and Zach Hylton. It's been a more than a 18-month project for quintet and it began with the release of singles - Numbers, Arcadia and Annotata - all featured on the album. Along the way, they have picked up kudos and awards for their tracks, their thunderous live show and filmclips.

To herald the release of their debut LP, they are bringing an offering of a new cut from the record. 'The Observer' is a track that probes the level of critical questioning that society has about the world spinning around them and whether our eyes are truly open - a brilliantly complex, massive-sounding epic.

Vocalist for the outfit, Richie Harvey spoke for Guards of May about the process of the album. "The album has been a ride from start to finish! After a lot of blood, sweat and coffee I think we have managed to encapsulate each member's own creative journey and growth since starting the band. The songs all have their own dynamic sound and feel, while still being distinctly Guards of May. We can't wait to finally show everyone and hopefully surprise some people with something they wouldn't expect from us."

An album tour will quickly follow the album release, with details to be released soon. Guards of May have not spent their time twiddling thumbs in between studio sessions in the past 18 months - tours that have seen them play & tour alongside Dead Letter Circus, Shihad, Jericco, Circles, Breaking Orbit, Caligula's Horse, Voyager, Dream on Dreamer, Sydonia, Young Lions and Like Thieves.

Their previous single releases have had support from triple j's The Racket and Home and Hosed, Triple M's Distortion and New Rock at Night show, AndrewHaugRadio's Heavy at Home and The Aussie Alternative, as well as featured on overseas radio shows Prog Palace Radio, Rock Radio, The Indie Authority, Neueregelradio and radiohhh.com.

Future Eyes, Guards of May's full-length debut album, is out Friday August 14 through MGM Distribution for purchase in-store at JB Hi-Fi and all good retailers, as well as iTunes, Spotify and all other online stores. More information can be found at https://www.guardsofmay.com.
