New York, NY (Top40 Charts) ole writer Timbaland earned the prestigious "Songwriter of the Year" award at last week's 28th annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards in Los Angeles, with co-writes on four of the most performed ASCAP songs of 2014 from the R&B, hip-hop, rap, and gospel charts. They included Beyoncé's smashes "Drunk in Love" and " Partition" as well as Jay Z featuring Beyoncé's "Part II (On the Run)," and Jay Z's "Tom Ford," the latter two co-written by Timbaland and ole-bluestone's Garland "Sebastian" Mosley.
In addition, ole writer David Bratton took home an ASCAP Rhythm & Soul honor for "Every Praise," performed by the great gospel artist Hezekiah Walker.
