Baby Cham Replaces Sanchez On Grace Jamaica Jerk Festival NY
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Reggae crooner Sanchez, one of the headline acts billed to perform on the Main Stage at the 5th annual Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival slated to take place at Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, New York on Sunday, July 19th will not perform, Eddy Edwards, CEO of Jamaican Jerk Festival USA Inc. said.

"I spoke with his manager yesterday and was told that he will not be able to perform as scheduled on Sunday because of personal circumstances beyond his control. Sanchez apologizes to his fans and will make it up to them in the future" he said. International reggae/dancehall superstar Baby Cham will replace Sanchez on the bill.

"Baby Cham is a respected artist who has recorded hits like 'Ghetto Story,' 'Vitamin S,' 'Many Many' and 'Babylon Bwoy' and has collaborated with international superstars like Alicia Keys and Sean Paul. We are delighted he was able to accept our invitation at such short notice" Edwards said.

Cham will join the popular Fab 5 Band with a mix of classics and new hits, Romain Virgo with a selection of his many hits and Carlene Davis who will headline a gospel section which will also feature Kokodoo. King Jammys will play a special selection of dancehall classics and retro selections while comedian Major Hype will entertain with a bellyful of side-splitting jokes.

This year's festival will also showcase an exciting assortment of jerk delights served by some of New York's top Caribbean restaurants and chefs, popular cooking competitions and demonstrations as well as informative and entertaining cultural presentations on the Western Union Cultural Stage.

The Jerk Cooking Pavilion is a Festival hot spot where top chefs and celebrities test their cooking chops in the Jerk Cook-off and Celebrity Quick Fire Challenge. Miss Universe Jamaica Kaci Fennell will be squaring off against last year's winner, State Commitee Woman and District Leader of Assembly District 29, Sherie Murray, while Chef Eddie G and Chef Irie will demonstrate creative recipes and culinary techniques and also offer samples of their tasty creations to patrons.

Advanced tickets are available on line at www.jerkfestivalNY.com or at selected retail outlets in the tri-state area. Raddison Hotel JFK is the official festival hotel offering discounted rates to festival attendees visiting New York.
