Kevin Kliesch Reacts To Emmy Nomination For "Sofia The First: The Curse Of Princess Ivy"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) On July 16th, the Television Academy announced the nominations for the 67th annual Primetime Emmy Awards. Kevin Kliesch received a nomination in Outstanding Music Composition For A Limited Series, Movie or Special (Original Dramatic Score) for his work on SOFIA THE FIRST: The Curse of Princess Ivy - a special episode which aired in Primetime this past year.

Earlier this year, Kliesch earned his first EMMY Award at the Daytime EMMY Awards, also for SOFIA THE FIRST, and the first to win EMMY and EMMY for a Daytime Series and then to be nominated for a Special Episode of the same series for the Primetime EMMYs.

"It was quite a shock to get woken up at 5:45am in Hawaii to be told that I'd been nominated for a Primetime Emmy for Sofia the First!" said Kliesch. "This is truly beyond an honor for me, since I took home the Daytime Emmy for Sofia the First a few months ago. I'm not sure if any composer has been nominated for the same show in the same year in two different Emmy awards shows - but I'd be elated to be the first! Huge thanks to the Television Academy for this unbelievable honor."

Kliesch is represented by Soundtrack Music Associates
