Tahni and the Toneheads CD Release Party

AUSTIN, TX. (Diva Global Communications/ www.tahnitonehead.com) - Sunday December 5, 2004, Tahni and the Toneheads will release their debut album, Back Again, at a CD Release Party held at Ruta Maya Coffeehouse.
The party will also feature an opening performance by The Glen Rexach Trio at 7pm. Woody Russell will appear as a special guest, performing several duets with Tahni that are featured album. Cover is $5.00 at the door.

Tahni and the Toneheads are the musical creation of Tahni Handal. Fifteen songs on the new release "Back Again" tell of Tahni's spiritual journeys from failed bands and blind alleys toward a new life built on integrity, strong values, and the knowledge that the key to faith is freedom.
The album creates an intriguing melodic journey, fusing blues, indie pop, folk, sensual Latin rhythms, and a thread of down home country. Feature tracks include: Austin, Texas; Big Talker; Soldiers on This Road; La La Land.

While 'Back Again' is Tahni's debut album with the Toneheads, she has been in the music business for over 20 years. She spent several years as lead guitarist for the all-girl heavy metal band, Tantrum, opening for bands such as Ratt and Queensryche and sharing practice space with Motley Crue.

The music on 'Back Again', a departure from her heavy metal days, reveals a softer Tahni and the messages reflect her spirit of courage in the face of adversity.
Songs, bio and further information can be downloaded from the website.

Performers for the evening will be: Tahni Handal, vocals and guitar; Woody Russell, vocals and guitar; Suzi Stern, vocals; Brad Evilsizer, drums; Steve Zirkel, bass; Glen Rexach, guitar.
