Bondurant Drops Electrifying Hit "Crazy People"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Electro-pop musician, Bondurant just released his latest single, "Crazy People," a truly captivating work of art. The song finds a balance in Bondurant's ability to fuse a love for pop, electronic and rock. "Crazy People" is Bondurant's first single as he shifts musical gears into the world of pop-rock and is now available on Spotify.

Opening with an anthemic electric riff, "Crazy People" jumps straight into an alternative vibe that is simultaneously fresh and familiar. Bondurant's vocals have a higher register that maintains a relaxed style reminiscent of rock legends like Prince and Matthew Bellamy (Muse). Though he is certainly influenced by glam rock, "Crazy People" also showcases Bondurant's masterful guitar work, shredding a grizzly lick of a hook. The song ponders the extent to which people will behave erratically when fueled by the compulsive drive for love. The chorus, "we're just crazy people, doing crazy things" summarizes a reflection that is honest, but also less concerned with the way others perceive the madness of one's devotion. While his previous musical catalogue would often be described as Americana, Bondurant has cited Michael Jackson as a major influence and it is clearer than ever in this work of alternative pop perfection. "The song was originally written and produced during a session with Zella Day's guitarist, Christopher James Oppold in his studio in LA," Bondurant describes when discussing the writing process. "Once the ideas were down, I contacted longtime friend and producer Daniel Crawford to do the final tracking and production."

Rob Bondurant always felt a natural pull to the arts and a particular love for music. At the age of fifteen, he picked up the old family acoustic guitar that had been gathering dust and asked his stepfather to teach him how to play. The music artist now describes that instance as a turning point in life that was a divine moment of clarity. Bondurant quickly became a major player in the San Diego music scene, as well as one of the most sought-after performers in the area. Feeling a need to branch out and seek new opportunities, Bondurant moved to Nashville to record his most recent full-length effort, Hurricane, which was released in November of 2014. The album solidified a presence of Americana and singer/songwriter music that he had been crafting for years. Soon after releasing the album, Bondurant felt a creative desire to switch things up and veer his musical pursuits in an electro-pop direction beginning with his latest single, "Crazy People." It is an exciting departure for Bondurant and one that will continue to grab attention with an undeniably addicting sound.

With a dark edge that is cool and mysterious, "Crazy People" is the perfect tune to score long evenings and moonlit adventures. Shamelessly owning the ability to be capable of crazy things, Bondurant proves a musical force to be reckoned with.
