Four-Time Grammy Award Winner Gordon Goodwin To Release "A Big Phat Christmas 'Wrap This!'" On November 6, 2015
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Four time GRAMMY Award winning pianist, saxophonist, bandleader, composer, and arranger GORDON GOODWIN, and his BIG PHAT BAND, will release its first-ever holiday album titled A BIG PHAT CHRISTMAS 'WRAP THIS!'. The album will be available on November 6, and will include Goodwin's signature take on such holiday favorites as "Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."

A BIG PHAT CHRISTMAS 'WRAP THIS!' includes 10 exciting new charts by Goodwin, showing the Big Phat Band's versatility and range - from the hard swinging "Santa Baby" to the contemporary vibe on "Carol of the Bells" and "The Little Drummer Boy." Highlights from the album include Gordon's take on John Williams' "Somewhere in My Memory," from the Christmas blockbuster film "Home Alone," and the turbo charged swing of "Do You Hear What I Hear?" featuring the Grammy winning vocal group Take 6.

The album features an all-star lineup of musicians that comprise the BIG PHAT BAND -- from Eric Marienthal, Wayne Bergeron, Andy Martin, Bernie Dresel and Brian Scanlon, to Jay Mason, Jeff Driskill, Andrew Synowiec, Willie Murillo, Dan Fornero, Francisco Torres, Trey Henry and Joey De Leon.

Gordon, who was nominated for four 2015 GRAMMY Awards for Life in the Bubble on Telarc, (a division of Concord Music Group) - both individually as an arranger and composer; and with GORDON GOODWIN'S BIG PHAT BAND, won the GRAMMY earlier this year for BEST LARGE JAZZ ENSEMBLE. Goodwin has been awarded four career GRAMMY wins; with 20 career GRAMMY nominations. Goodwin has also won three Emmy Awards including "Steven Spielberg Presents 'Pinky and the Brain'" and "Steven Spielberg 'Presents Animaniacs.'"

GORDON GOODWIN'S BIG PHAT BAND initially emerged in the 2000, and has garnered a consistent and loyal following, with its music having equal appeal from young and old alike. Over time, Goodwin and his band has released seven studio albums that merge traditional big band sounds of the 30's and '40s, with a pure, contemporary vibe. The group's recordings has featured high-profile guest artists including Arturo Sandoval, Brian McKnight, Dave Koz, Chick Corea, Lee Ritenour, David Sanborn, Michael Brecker, Dianne Reeves and Dave Grusin, to name a few. Goodwin has also collaborated with such legends and noted artists as Ray Charles, Christina Aguilera, Johnny Mathis, John Williams, Natalie Cole, David Foster, Sarah Vaughan, Mel Torme and Quincy Jones.
