Japanese Fighting Fish - "U Ain't Gonna Win This"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Japanese Fighting Fish, the Leeds born, London based outfit are returning with their hard hitting single 'U Ain't Gonna Win This'. The band are described as 'an eclectic semi-genius, semi-ludicrous mix of metal, dance, pop, Latin/Cuban beats and more stuff that probably shouldn't ever go together.' The band have evolved from the South American rhythms of their debut album to their punk rock sophomore and now their latest offering draws on funk, fuzz and infectious hooks.

"U Ain't Gonna Win This" is an evolving beast with psychedelic undertones and a distinct rocky edge. This is the first song the Fish have written collectively and it is evident that a little piece from every member is encapsulated in the song. The track explores the themes of split personalities and is also homage to boxing greats like Ali and Rocky. What began as guttural hum quickly became a fully fledged song and thus "U Ain't Gonna Win This" was born. It is an angsty, aggressive, brooding and punchy funky space rock tune with post punk elements and nods to the likes of Q.O.T.S.A., and Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds.

Japanese Fighting Fish have an equally impressive live catalogue as well as fantastic releases. The outfit have supported Space Hog on their UK tour and played alongside Wild Beasts, The Stranglers, De La Soul and UB40 across their many festival appearances. They have also headlined legendary venues such as The 100 Club and The Barfly in London. With radio support from XFM, Planet Rock, Absolute, Amazing and Kerrang! and throngs of loyal fans, the group are on track for another huge release.

Japanese Fighting Fish are dedicated to the purveyance of fine music. In the process of recording their upcoming album which "U Ain't Gonna Win This" features on, the Fish spent 12 hours a day for two weeks playing music. Music is in the very fabric of their beings and this magical time resulted in large quantities of laughter, tears, conflict, and light bulb moments.
"U Ain't Gonna Win This" is out on 13th November 2015
