NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) - Before two weeks, Bob Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone" was just named the greatest rock 'n' roll song of all time (Rolling Stone Magazine list). He also sung "The times they are a-changin'" in 1964 and it all came true (!) - and that's why now supports on CBS's '60 Minutes' that he's no prophet.

Bob Dylan will appear on CBS's "60 Minutes" Dec. 5 (Sunday) in his first television interview in 19 years. "It was like being in an Edgar Allen Poe story and you're just not that person everybody thinks you are, though they call you that all the time," Dylan says in this interview.
He continues, "I never wanted to be a prophet or a saviour.
Elvis maybe. I could see myself becoming him. But prophet? No.
My stuff - (they) were songs, they weren't sermons. If you examine the songs I don't believe you're going to find anything in there that says that I'm a spokesman for anybody or anything really."

Also he criticized 'the importance' of his big hit 'Like A Rolling Stone' which is being named Best Ever Rock Song:
"Oh, maybe this week (it's No. 1). But you know, the list, they change names quite frequently, really. I don't pay much attention to that!"

Bob Dylan, 63, recently published the first instalment of his memoirs, "Chronicles Volume 1" (publisher: Simon & Schuster), and CBS The interview will be the first in what the singer says will be a series of personal histories.
