The Grammy Award-Winning Okee Dokee Brothers Set Their Passion For The Outdoors To Tune Of Americana Folk Music On 'Saddle Up: A Western Adventure Album,' Out May 13
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) DVD, Illustrated Storybook And US Tour To Accompany Family-Friendly LP
"[The Okee Dokee Brothers] remind us of the American belief that we're bound for better weather." - NPR All Things Considered

GRAMMY Award-Winning Family Folk Band The Okee Dokee Brothers -- Joe Mailander and Justin Lansing -- will deliver their third-in-series adventure album, 'Saddle Up: A Western Adventure Album' on May 13. Known for "playful and thoughtful songs crafted with the warmth and storytelling resonance of traditional folk and mountain music" (Parents' Choice Awards), the outdoorsmen trade their paddles ('Can You Canoe?) for saddles and hiking boots ('Through the Woods') for cowboy boots on a 30 day horseback journey along the Continental Divide. Through adventure and anecdotal lyrics, the duo aims to inspire families to get outside and get creative.

Featuring a diverse collective of musicians -- John Sebastian (Lovin' Spoonful), Jim Campilongo (The Little Willies), Cindy Cashdollar (Asleep At The Wheel), Carlos Medina and The Benally Family -- 'Saddle Up' melds "striking harmonies and spot-on picking" (Acoustic Guitar Magazine) with stories inspired by exploration through five national parks and camping along the Continental Divide. The melodic stories cover tales of western wildlife, Navajo stories, Southwest-style Spanglish, the issue of guns in western lore, friendship, and more.

To accompany the album, The Okee Dokee Brothers' journey was filmed and compiled for a 'Saddle Up' DVD documentary featuring educational material, music video and a hint of tomfoolery. To further connect with families, an illustrated version of all three of the duo's adventures -- 'Saddle Up,' 'Can You Canoe?' and 'Through The Woods' -- will be combined into one hardback cover edition available beginning Tues., May 10.

In the meantime, The Okee Dokee Brothers will tour across the US through the Spring, hosting a movie premiere in Minneapolis, MN on Sat., May 7 and an album release party in St. Paul, MN on Sat., May 21. For more on the duo, please visit okeedokee.org .
