Drew Worthley Releases "Crucible"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Drew Worthley is an East London musician who crafts a curious blend of cerebral indie-pop with a twist of lyrical Americana. His newly released sophomore record 'Crucible', recorded at Echo Zoo Studios has been priased by Louder Than War as 'one of the albums of the year without doubt.' The 'blisfully atypical' collection of songs explores memory, economics, London and literature, weaving heartfelt vocals around a smorgasbord of analogue synths, guitars, flugelhorns and battered drums.

Crucible has been receiving regular airplay on BBC 6 Music, BBC London and BBC Introducing, numerous features on Baeble Music and 'Tune of the Day' recommendations on AmazingTunes. Drew will be touring in early spring 2016.

Its charm and downright insubordinate addictiveness shines through on each and every one of Crucibles eleven tracksIn short, Crucible is a quite luscious album on many levels. Drew Worthley is clearly an exciting, talented and unique artist, and if this is the sort of quality he can produce on a difficult second album then there are potentially amazing times ahead. 8.5/10 - Louder Than War

Sonically, the track combines Phil Spectors wall of sound with a titanic swell and cinematic tension that play into the beauty and grandness of the tracks emotional themesHis songwriting is a type that breaks down many boundaries - Baebel Music

Makes you want to just stop everything and simply listen. - Indiemunity

The East Londoner plays well, a sort of retro pop made new again. - Glacially Musical

This is a stunning release with beautifully crafted songs and arrangements, really engaging lyrically and musically as it shifts from incisive folk to tracks of almost pastoral pop. - Curved Radio (Australia)

Is this the first song to mention Bamber Boozler? - Teletextr Podcastr
