New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Hotel Indigo Nashville Downtown feels it is important to showcase artwork that is created by local artist with a neighborhood theme.

Hotel Indigo Nashville Downtown has commissioned local artist Mark Cowden to create a piece of mixed media art. The piece titled "The Wanderer" pays homage to the historic "Printer's alley" history and future. The art piece includes an original letter block pressed poster from the legendary Hatch Show Print design team, 4 dimensional book sculptures utilizing real books, and much more. The Art Deco style of colors coordinates with the buildings historic architectural style.

The Hotel Indigo Nashville Downtown will be hosting a public unveiling and artist meet and greet on April 22, 2016 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Bill Bacelieri General Manager of the hotel Indigo Nashville Downtown comments "Everyone knows we have great music here in Nashville but we also have many types of interesting Artists in the city. The hotel felt it was important to have artwork in the building that was created by local artist with a neighborhood theme."

The "Wanderer" will be on permanent display at the Hotel Indigo Nashville Downtown. The Hotel Indigo Nashville is located in between Nashville's third and Fourth Avenue. Stretching from Union to Church Street, a billboard announces your passage into the "World Famous Printers Alley". Printers Alley has a great history that includes gun duels between Andrew Jackson and his critics. A period of time before prohibition when the alley was known as "The Men's District" that catered to many types of thirsts. "Printers Alley" continued to be a source of nightlife for Nashville in the 60's and 70's with artists like Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams Sr., Dottie West and many others seen on stage in the clubs.
