New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Grunge-pop group, Ramonda Hammer released their premiere album, Whatever That Means. Crammed with heavy hooks and raw screaming vocals, the album is an unfiltered exploration of angst, frustration, and love. Whatever That Means is available on iTunes now.

Produced by the bands front-woman, Devin Davis and engineered by Grammy nominee, Morgan Stratton of Sunset Sound, the album is packed with songs anthemic, sincere, and sometimes brutally honest. The first track, Chaotic, hits the ground running as Davis chants, if its not chaotic, its not real over furious guitar licks. The opening line, its hard to explain myself, may be one of the best representations of the album, as many of the songs are about the difficulty of communicating in relationships, and feeling as though something is always getting lost in translation. The tracks If, Then and Strangers Love You are strong insights into the bands inspiration. Amends Were Made is a sonic rollercoaster, shifting from one extreme to the next as lead guitarist, Justin Geters shredding takes control. The bands breakout single, Goddamn Idiot is on the album as well. The song finds aggravation in a close friend who is unsure of how to solve their problems, with Davis wailing, youre not a bad person, just a goddamn idiot. Earlier this year, Ramonda Hammer released a video for Goddamn Idiot which garnered them features on The Deli Los Angeles, Buzzbands, and Pure Volume.

Davis jokingly came up with the band name after binge-watching the TV show Cheaters, and decided to actually use it when she formed Ramonda Hammer in the summer of 2014. Davis met Andy Hengl who became the bands bass player, and soon after they recruited Danny Louangxay on drums and Justin Geter on lead guitar. Taking cues from acts such as Nirvana, The Pixies, and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Ramonda Hammer is an eclectic group that combines the raw lyrics and guitar riffs of grunge with the captivating melodies of pop. Though the bands music is rooted in nineties style, their interpretation of alternative rock is truly fresh and contemporary. The result is a sound that is familiar yet unique in its own respect. While Ramonda Hammers music pays homage to the female alternative voices of the nineties from Fiona Apple to Garbage, the band has also been compared to Wolf Alice and Silversun Pickups.

Playing packed shows throughout Los Angeles, as well as a few West Coast tours, Ramonda Hammer has quickly established themselves as a name to remember in the alternative scene. The group has worked relentlessly, writing, touring, and recording in the short time theyve been together and only plan to keep the momentum going.
