LOS ANGELES (Tony Dancy Music) - Tony Dancy, singer / songwriter from Los Angeles, CA has released his new CD "Midnight Dancing". Featured are 14 tracks of sophisticated adult pop with a hip 70's sound, including danceable disco and love songs with Tony's signature harmonies. "The songs are light, smooth and infectious... they make me want to come back to the CD over and over", John Gardner, long-time DJ at WRIT in Milwaukee says. "There's a touch of Cliff Richard, Bread, Gilbert O'Sullivan, Steely Dan and Sammy Johns in 'Midnight Dancing', but Tony Dancy has created a style all his own... excellent!"

Back in 1968, in his hometown of Milwaukee, WI, Tony wrote and recorded a wildly successful regional hit, "Little By Little", which was picked up by A&M Records. Enjoying a long and diverse musical career, Tony released his first CD after 30 years, in 1999, "A Hopeless Romantic". Positive reception spurred him to immediately embark on the next project. His second production, "Midnight Dancing" demonstrates his versatility, mixing heartfelt ballads with catchy pop hooks, R&B flavors, and a sprinkle of hip-hop.

"I've known Tony for 35 years and he just keeps getting better and better - he has always had a knack for writing catchy, irresistible melodies backed up with big ear-filling harmonies. He's done it again with 'Midnight Dancing'", says Bob Barry, legendary WOKY DJ and 2001 inductee into the Wisconsin Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

"There must be something different about my music because it seems to defy any categories or genre classifications," Tony asserts. "I draw upon musical influences as diverse as the Beatles, Beach Boys, Carpenters, Delphonics, Steely Dan, Bacharach, Brubeck, Hi-Lo's, and many others to create something that ends up not sounding like any of them but sounding like me."

"Tony Dancy possesses one of the most interesting voices I have ever heard; clear, articulate, with warmth and flawless intonation. Extremely pop-friendly, yet unusual enough to tweak the ear of even the most jaded listener, it draws you into a world of lyricism accompanied by sophisticated harmonic sense. I always look forward to Tony's latest effort, as I know that there will inevitably be something there to surprise me and bring a smile to my face." Joe Turano - singer, saxophonist, keyboardist for Al Jarreau.

"What success means to me now is simply having people hear my music," he comments. "I have a style that's not being heard in mainstream outlets these days and feel that my music will be appreciated by people in my age group.
The Internet is great, it's paving the way for reemerging artists like myself to make contact with that group on a worldwide scale". Being an avid traveler, Tony says, " My goal is to personally meet each and every international fan!"
