New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Creating an idea and bringing it to life is what inspired the progressive metalcore band Invent, Animate to pursue their passion for spreading positive messages through their music. The group was formed on the cloudy Christmas Eve of 2011 in a small town east of
Houston called Port Neches, Texas. Ben English (vocals), Keaton Goldwire (guitar), Caleb Sherraden (bass), and Trey Celaya (drums) came together through their mutual love of bands like Deftones, Underoath, and Norma Jean. They are heavily influenced by what these bands have to say and the way they carry themselves as musicians.
Invent, Animate is a highly energetic band that puts an unsullied look on the metalcore market. Their work is multi-dimensional and shows their ability to be very dynamic. Never fearful to be chaotic and crazy one minute, but then decelerate and bring a softer, more beautiful aspect the next. The band has shared the stage with Oh, Sleeper, Of Mice & Men, Architects,
Texas In July, ERRA and many more. They have also played the South By So What?! Festival.
Invent, Animate signed with Tragic Hero Records and released their debut full-length "Everchanger" in 2014. It's still so surreal to me, says English. Growing up, some of my favorite bands were a part of Tragic Hero, and I'm super excited to be a part of the family."
The first single, 'Celestial Floods' off the band's highly anticipated sophomore album "Stillworld" (July 8) shows the world what is next for Invent, Animate. English explains, "when we were all deciding what we wanted the world to hear first from "Stillworld", it was an incredibly difficult process, but after much thought and consideration we were all happy with our choice in 'Celestial Floods'. We think it really shows off some of the wild dynamics the album has in store, and really starts to dig into the emotion that's portrayed throughout the record. Thrilled to have this one out, but it's absolutely just the beginning of a whole new chapter."
"Stillworld" will be out July 8th and Invent, Animate hits the road on the Happiness in Self Destruction tour with The Plot In You, ERRA and Sylar in support of the record.
