Tinie Tempah has re-signed a worldwide publishing agreement with long-term partner Sony/ATV Music
This new agreement represents a strong relationship between Tinie Tempah, the music publisher and Sony/ATV UK Managing Director
and President of European Creative Guy Moot, who first signed the London-based rapper at the beginning of his musical career in 2010. The music publisher will continue to represent Tinie Tempah’s back catalogue as well as songwriting credits on recent UK No. 1 single “Not Letting Go” with Jess Glynne
and “Girls Like” with Zara Larsson, current single “Mamacita” with Wizkid and the upcoming Warner Music
album release Youth.
The signing of this deal comes after an especially exciting few weeks for Tinie Tempah, who made history at the end of last month by becoming the UK rap artist with the most UK No. 1 singles in chart history.
Guy Moot said: “We are absolutely thrilled to continue such a long and happy relationship with Tinie Tempah, a truly special person, songwriter and proven hit maker.”
said: “I’m super excited to continue my journey with Sony/ATV. They have been incredibly supportive from the beginning and I believe they have what it takes to support me in this new capacity and in the next stage of my journey. New levels, new heights.”
Since first signing with EMI Music
Publishing in 2010, Tinie Tempah’s career has gone from strength to strength. He has to date racked up two smash albums, three Mobo awards, one BET Award and two BRITs, including Best Single for “Pass Out” which also picked up the Ivor Novello Award for Best Contemporary Song at the 2011 ceremony.
His debut album Disc-Overy went straight to the top of the UK album chart when released in October 2010 and spawned a wealth of hit singles, including “Pass Out”, “Frisky” and “Wonderman”, while aiding the launches of Labrinth’s and Ellie Goulding’s careers in the process. Featured songwriting verses on a multitude of superstar singles followed, with Tinie Tempah’s lyrical power and rhythmic style in high demand from the likes of Rita Ora
(“R.I.P”), Calvin Harris
(“Drinking From The Bottle”), DVBBS (“Tsunami (Jump)”), Cheryl Cole
(“Crazy Stupid Love”) and KDA (“Turn The Music
Louder (Rumble)”). His second album Demonstration was released in 2013 and went on to be certified Gold, while featured guest spots from the likes of 2 Chainz, Emeli Sande
and Paloma Faith.
Tinie Tempah’s much-anticipated third album Youth is set for release on September
16 via Disturbing London Records/Parlophone/Warner Music.
