Featured This Week On The Jazz Network Worldwide: Mosaic Artist Gregory Sipp Showcasing His Mosaic Art Of Legendary Jazz Artists
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Gregory Sipp is a unique and tasteful portraiture mosaic artist who has captured the pure essence of a host of legendary jazz artists through his creative vision of mosaic art.

I feel that there is a message that jazz imparts that it allows for the sharing of learning life's lessons, our diversity, courage and understanding others voices

Gregory Sipp has been a jazz lover his whole life and not until the past eight years has he attempted to create, improvise and execute the various techniques that artists use to inspire themselves through this medium to capture the pure essence of world renowned jazz artists. He claims that jazz is the rhythm of life for him and that music invigorates his flow, creativity and improvisation as the foundation of his inspiration to create such signature pieces. "I feel that there is a message that jazz imparts that it allows for the sharing of learning life's lessons, our diversity, courage and understanding others voices. The colors I choose are led by what is reflected through me as I listen to the music as my backdrop to inspiration for each work of art" says Gregory.

Even though he has been making mosaics for the past fifteen years and studied under internationally known mosaic mentors, artist Yulia Hanansen for seven years and participated in workshops by artist Carol Shelkin learning mosaic portraiture and implementing color, he has carved out a style all his own. Sipp continued to widening his scope of all things mosaic by joining the MAM (Mosaic Artists of Michigan) and SAMA (the Society of American Mosaic Artists) to be sure to stay on top of the new trends and to build solid relationships within the mosaic artists communities.

Branching out with his artistry Sipp has decided to take his art on the road by way of submitting his art to worldwide jazz festivals and jazz societies as he feels would be the perfect setting for a targeted demographic that would surely enjoy his work.

Gregory has completed mosaic's of Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Billy Holiday, Ray Charles, Sarah Vaughn, Charles Mingus, Louis Armstrong, Nina Simone, Terence Blanchard, Wynton Marsalis and his latest piece is of the great trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie.

"When Gregory reached out to me to see how he could promote himself through The Jazz Network Worldwide platform, I found myself astounded by the precision of his vision. His artwork is skillfully set to bring forth a signature musical moment in time that most of us jazz lovers can relate to" say Jaijai Jackson of The Jazz Network Worldwide. "I had to make sure we worked together for his art needs to be worldwide and showcased at festivals and events presenting jazz".

"Sharing your gift and talents with the world can be a bit intimidating; the depth of expression your mosaics present is something that should be always be shared with persons who appreciate unique art. I am tasked with identifying the best of the best works of art, clothing, and other lifestyle products on behalf of the Capital Jazz Fest. Mosaics are unique in themselves -- until your submission, for the past thirteen years I have never had an artist who has crafted mosaic artwork. Hence the reason you were extended an invitation to participate. I was thrilled you joined us!" -- Rev. Phyllicia M. Hatton, Capital Jazz Fest, Marketplace Coordinator and Manager

Sipp has agreed to be the 2016 Chicago Jazz Festival Official Artist. As the official artist, his artwork entitled "John Coltrane" will be used as the image on the official festival t-shirt and on the cover of the official festival program book slated for September 1-4, 2016 at the Chicago Cultural Center, Millennium Park. The event is produced by the Department of Cultural Affairs & Special Events and Programmed by the Jazz Institute of Chicago.
