Hard Working Americans Kick Off 'Cavalcade Of Chaos' Tour To Raves
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) "Definitive proof that Hard Working Americans is no half-baked side project." - Rolling Stone, on new record 'Rest In Chaos'

Hard Working Americans just kicked off its 'Cavalcade of Chaos' August tour, swirling across the United States with their bruising and deeply soulful brand of rock n' roll. Fronted by Nashville iconoclast Todd Snider, the six-piece consists of Widespread Panic's Dave Schools (bass) and Duane Trucks (drums), Neal Casal (guitar) of Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Chad Staehly (keys) from Great American Taxi and Jesse Aycock (lap steel). The group released their second album, 'Rest In Chaos,' in May, which the Boston Globe called "a twisted strain of cosmic-hippie, gonzo outlaw music" and the Nashville Scene deemed as "arguably Todd Snider's greatest work to date."

On this leg of their U.S. tour, Hard Working Americans have kept things unpredictable as ever. Last week alone, the group was joined by R.E.M. co-founder Peter Buck in Portland, who played guitar on a cover of Drivin N' Cryin's "Straight To Hell." In Los Angeles, they were introduced to the stage by comedy legend Richard Lewis, a fan of the group since its inception. Hard Working Americans' August dates have garnered raves thus far:

"Concert attendees might first be drawn to the reputations of the band members, they will keep coming back because of what they have created together." - Glide Magazine

"The crowd was jamming closer and closer to the stage as the dance floor became standing room only, drawn in by the smoking jams being laid down." - Live For Live Music

"Schools is rock-steady reliable, a groove machine that drives Trucks as much as Trucks drives him. Aycock and Staehly slide between rhythmic anchors and soloists of thought and variety. Casal is a guitar hero-in waiting.... Snider is a lead singer with all the requisite magnetism and none of the bloated pretense." - JamBands.com

San Francisco jam rockers The Mother Hips joined Hard Working Americans for the first run of their tour, and HWA will continue to traverse the country with Aaron Lee Tasjan, Raelyn Nelson and The Congress. The tour will conclude at the Lockn' Music Festival in Arrington, VA on August 27, where Hard Working Americans will share a bill with Phil Lesh, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Phish and more.
