New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Moonstruck Management is very proud to announce Sweetwater String Band to the roster for management and booking. Sweetwater String Band is cello driven "soulgrass" founded in the Eastern Sierra of California.

Melding their creative lyrics with their unique style, Sweetwater String Band's music often deals with serious issues such as workers rights and finding middle ground in today's divided political arena. This seriousness is balanced by ghost stories, drinking songs, improvised jams, and tales from the long, lonesome road. Gideon Thomas of No Depression describes their latest album River of Rhymes as: "a work of both intimacy and wide-scale, cinematic vistasinstantly likeable, a truly worthy listen. The songs are great, their playing immaculate, and their approach and subject matters fascinating.

"I am so excited about the addition of the Sweetwater String Band to Moonstrucks roster, said Josh Trivett. "They are such a unique and eclectic string band that has an amazing traditional foundation mixed with a great progressive feel. I was introduced to them when they inquired about playing the Huck Finn Jubilee. I did my normal research and fell in love with a video of a song called Docs Waltz written as tribute to the late Doc Watson. I then booked them to play on Sunday at Huck Finn Jubilee and was blown away at their very unique vibe, feel and presentation. Two standing ovations later during a Sunday afternoon set at Huck Finn sealed the deal for me. Like all of the talented artists on our roster, Sweetwater String Bands offers something special and I couldnt be more excited!

Mandolinist Scott Roberts and cellist David Huebner write the material, and together with Jeff Meadway on guitar, and Patrick Ferguson on bass, work out the arrangements. They have completed two full length albums, and have a third in the works.

I first met Josh while booking our performance at the Huck Finn Jubilee, and I really appreciated his easy demeanor right from the start, said Huebner. It felt both professional and familiar, like I'd known him a long time. After seeing us perform, Josh expressed interest in working with the band, and considering how much is offered under one roof at Moonstruck, his willingness to work with our particular schedule, and his genuine appreciation for our music, we just felt like the move was a perfect fit. We're really excited.

Sweetwater String Bands recent festival appearances include the Huck Finn Jubilee, Kate Wolf Festival, RapidGrass, YarmonyGrass, Durango Bluegrass Meltdown, and Parkfield Bluegrass, as well as upcoming appearances at the Fall Strawberry Music Festival, Millpond Music Festival (3rd appearance), and Lost Sierra Hoedown (2nd appearance). It's worth noting that cellist David Huebner has a deep classical music background. Starting at the age of 7, he won numerous competitions and performed countless concerts around his home in Los Angeles, including a performance at the Hollywood Bowl, and twice appearing nationally on the Disney Channel.
