New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Saustex and the Hickoids are pleased to be presenting the 7th Annual edition of The Austin Corn Lovers Fiesta. This year's lineup represents a return to the core values and mission of the Fiesta...affordable fun and arse-kicking local and regional bands in a friendly and adult setting. The four-night, floating club mini-festival was originally conceived by the Hickoids as a dig at the similarly acronymic behemoth Austin City Limits Festival which didn�t seem to feature much Austin music. Staged entirely without sponsorship, the totally independent festival has taken on a life of its own and previously featured headliners including
David Yow, Old 97�s, Wreckless Eric, Blowfly, Mike Watt, Hamell on Trial, Davie Allan & The Arrows and BP Fallon surrounded by local talent and Saustex label acts.

This Friday night ACLF kick-off show promises to be one to remember as "The Monsters of Costume Rock", a lineup chock-full of nuts and musicians whose parents wouldn't let them play with dolls, take the stage at The Lost Well. Extra backstage security has been secured as no doubt some fights are going to break out between band members jockeying for mirror space and makeup containers. Come witness the horror...the rocky horror.

Institute of Transvestism, "The Hardest Working Ladymen in Show Business" lay down furious 35-minute sets of chaotic, grungy punk that leave audiences with no doubt that there are some big balls lurking under their skirts.
POCKET FISHRMEN
These perennial Austin and Corn Lovers favorites are celebrating their 30th Anniversary this year and allegedly have a triple LP "best of" in the works. Their erudite yet deviant brand of rawk is Sci-fi meets metal meets punk meets glam at an oncologists conference.
THE SWISHBUCKLERS
From New Orleans by way of Ibiza and Fire Island come the world's greatest gay pirate band, The Swishbucklers. Shanghai Slim and company "cruise" upriver looking for fresh conscripts in a rare appearance that promises trashy garage fun.
THE SHUT-UPS
Austin's The Shut-Ups play unscripted 23-minute sets that wreak havoc and leave ears bleeding. Sure to clear the faint of heart and make more room for those who are ready to rock.

The hosts of the Austin Corn Lovers Fiesta will be making their second to last scheduled Austin appearance for the year. Expect plenty of grab-assery and an occasional correct note or two.
PAT TODD & THE RANKOUTSIDERS
This will be the ACLF debut by Pat and his Los Angeles-based band. The former singer for The Lazy Cowgirls is pure heart, soul and rock'n'roll, churning out a seemingly endless stream of songs and albums that combine the poetry of early Dylan and mid-period
Beatles with the verve and
Chuck Berry inspired licks of The
Rolling Stones and Johnny Thunders. Not to be missed.
NEW MYSTERY GIRL
Chrissy Flatt is enjoying a lot of success and airplay on

Radio with her new album "Crawl Through Your Hair". Surf, girl-group and garage are mashed up by her impeccable band and will get the audience moving.
GARRETT T. CAPPS
Hailing from San Antonio, Garrett is a relative newcomer on the scene but has already turned in some good work with more on the way. This night should see him drawing heavily on his recent release "Y Los Lonely Hipsters". He doesn't spare the twang and does mean covers of Thin Lizzy's 'Running Back" and Devo's "Girl U Want" in addition to his own fine originals.

Hailing from Leanderthal, Texas, McCoy (Cher UK, The Service Industry, The American People) and the company he is keeping will deliver pop gems cleverly disguised as socialist rants. Mike is a force to be reckoned with.

THE BEAUMONTS
America's #1 porno honky-tonk band continue to make jaws drop. The Nashvegas machine probably sells more records with Wheeler Walker, JR, but folks in the know will tell you the real stuff comes straight outta' Central Lubbock. WWJ might have a $2,000 a week publicist and a bunch of famous, fancy friends but he ain't got a third of the poetry or chops possessed by The Beaumonts.
MEET YOUR DEATH
Meet Your Death is a new project fronted by John Schooley and Walter Daniels. This pair of lo-fi journeymen have independently released enough records under various band names for labels such as Crypt, Sympathy For The Record
Industry and Goner to fill the music section of an Alaskan town library. Now they've joined forces and have just released a new album for Gerard Cosloy's 12XU imprint. Relentless blues and garage...Mercy!
HICKOIDS
The boys make their last scheduled Austin appearance of 2016. Expect the band to play tunes from the upcoming release "The Out Of Towners".
SAILOR POON
The riotous all-girl band Sailor Poon is fast becoming an Austin favorite. Their sound might be described as "proto-post-punk" and is reminiscent of early Rough Trade acts including Swell Maps and Kleenex. This ain't yo momma's brand of estrogen!
T. TEX EDWARDS
The Dallas-bred singer of legendary band The Nervebreakers is back with a new acoustic act featuring Eric Hisaw and Dan Hoekstra after a performing hiatus that lasted over a year. Edwards has a gift for finding unknown songs and making them gems of his own, the new combo should offer nothing less.
THE WEIRD
This new act featuring uber nice guy, record store clerk and garage fanatic Jon Horne and members of The Motards and Cryin' Out Louds will get this night off to a rowdy start.

As the finale for this year's Austin Corn Lovers Fiesta a (hopefully) permanent theme night, "The Corn Ball", is being instituted. The audience is encouraged to wear corn-themed costumes with a $150 cash prize being given to the winner and some nice prize packages to be handed to the second and third runners-up.
CUNTO!
Austin's favorite hardcore-folk-punk band headlines this night with anthems that will resonate with everybody who's a nobody in the digital mecca and over-heated real estate market that is Austin 2016. The Fugs meet The Circle Jerks. Not recommended for fans of Mumford and Sons.
CHURCHWOOD
Without a doubt Churchwood is one of Austin's true if under-appreciated musical treasures. This experimental/avant-garde blues band seems to effortlessly churn out albums that are musically and lyrically challenging without seeming pretentious. Their live show is impeccable and grooveful.
GAY SPORTSCASTERS
The party pack has been laying low for most of 2016, so that won't be mice in their pockets - they'll be happy to see you and to be seen! Chaotic, low-rent party pop will be delivered on tunes such as "Canihavasoda" and "Paul Lynde".
RIO JORDAN
An extra special musical treat on this Saturday night will come in the form of Rio Jordan. The sons and backing band of the legendary, singular musician Steve/Esteban "El Parche" Jordan (known as "the
Jimi Hendrix of The Accordion") carry on their father's musical legacy as they also forge their own. They've recently hit the West Coast in support of their album "Legendary Dynasty" and play a tasty mix of conjunto, cumbia, salsa and jazz.
WILD BILL & THE LOST KNOBS
Hot on the heels of their new release "Scumbags of the Rodeo" Wild Bill and company are going to bring the fun with a Byrds and Bakersfield influenced sound that has the right mixture of homage and gar-bage.

San Antonio turntablist has some of the most off the wall mash-ups you'll ever hear. He'll be spinning before, between and maybe even during sets.
