Kandace Springs Fall 2016 Tour Dates & Jools Holland Appearance
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Nashville singer and pianist Kandace Springs has announced a run of fall U.S. tour dates that includes a performance at the BRIC JazzFest in Brooklyn on October 14, as well as shows across the south including Austin (3ten Austin City Limits, Oct. 5), Houston (The Nightingale Room, Oct. 7), Atlanta (Vinyl, Oct. 11), and Athens (Caledonia Lounge, Oct. 12). Kandace will also perform at Daryl's House in Pawling, NY at Daryl's Rock 'N Soul New Year's Eve Party on December 31. See below for a full list of dates or visit kandacesprings.com for more info. Watch Kandace perform "Place To Hide" solo at Capitol Studios.

Kandace's star is currently on the rise in the U.K. where she was recently interviewed on the popular morning TV show BBC Breakfast. She also made her debut appearance on BBC Two's Later… With Jools Holland performing alongside Jack White, BANKS, M83, Kings of Leon, and Sting. Her standout performance of "Talk to Me" (penned by "Don't Know Why" songwriter Jesse Harris) will air in the U.S. on September 29 on MTV Live. Fans in the UK can watch her performance here.

Kandace's new Blue Note debut Soul Eyes has met with enthusiastic praise across the pond including a 5-star review in The Times of London who declared "This gently acoustic, sophisticated and affecting album is one of the year's best so far." In a 4-star review MOJO marveled at her "sensuous vocals" and "intimate, low-key jazz-infused approach that is drawing comparisons with Norah Jones's early work," adding "No wonder Prince was a fan." The Guardian raved: "she has a rare ability that can't be taught - to sound like an old soul, just doing what comes naturally."

Produced by Grammy-winner Larry Klein (Lizz Wright, Melody Gardot, Joni Mitchell, Herbie Hancock), Soul Eyes touches on soul and pop while channeling her jazz influences as well as her Nashville upbringing. The album's eleven songs are a mix of Kandace's originals and co-writes as well as the jazz classic "Soul Eyes" plus songs by Jesse Harris, Shelby Lynne, Evan Rogers and Carl Sturken, War, and others. Watch a behind-the-scenes video about the making of the album.
