Melody Federer Takes A Chance On Love With "Something To Show"
Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts) Singer-songwriter, Melody Federer released her latest single, "Something To Show," an uplifting indie-pop track that encourages people to take a chance on love. The new single will be featured on her upcoming full-length album, When the Dogwoods Bloom, out in early 2017. "Something To Show" is now available for download on iTunes and Spotify and for viewing on YouTube.

The exciting and compelling track, produced by Joe Gill and mixed by Jesse Singer, encourages people to lower their walls and leap into love with open arms. Starting off a soothing guitar accompanied by Federer performing the melody line using her vocal as a mock-trumpet, and the song is topped with her raw and effortlessly captivating voice. With lines like, "baby, if you stay with me maybe it could be the one thing we don't know, maybe it's the only place we're afraid to go," Federer challenges nomads like herself to stop running away from something as beautiful as love. The accompanying music video, directed by Michael Koerbel, finds Federer in the desert in search of the unknown before her fortune changes by meeting a mysterious masked stranger. The video can be seen on her YouTube channel. To celebrate the release, she'll be performing an intimate, stripped down set showcasing all new material at The Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles on Friday, November 11th alongside David Choi.

Hailing from Dallas, Federer knew at a young age that music was her passion when her father, a pastor, taught her to sing and play hymns on guitar. At age twenty, she traveled to Paris with a jazz pianist she met at a party in New York. While in Paris, the duo performed at festivals and local cafes. The pair left Paris shortly after landing a recording deal in Los Angeles. The duo found themselves in a bind when they arrived in Los Angeles because of insufficient funds; they were unable to begin the recording process. Federer made the decision to part ways with her partner and began to busk around Los Angeles until she secured a residency at a hotel lounge. During this time, she met Grammy nominated producer/songwriter, Billy Mann (Sting, P!nk, Robyn), who offered her a publishing deal with his company Green & Bloom, a joint venture with BMG. Since then, Federer has written songs for the likes of Hilary Duff, Kelly Rowland, and Jacob Whitesides, and has performed her solo material at legendary venues in Los Angeles such as Hotel Café, the House of Blues, The Harvard Club and more.

"Something To Show" is a truly stunning track that perfectly showcases Melody Federer's many talents as she prepares to release, When the Dogwoods Bloom early next year. Be sure to watch the music video on YouTube and download or stream the song on iTunes or Spotify.
