Former Shock Tu Bassist Jimmy Miller Joins Newmachine
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Former Shock Tu bassist Jimmy Miller has officially joined the band NEWMACHINE. Jimmy, an accomplished and well versed musician moved to Texas with his band Shock Tu in 1988. Shock Tu signed a record contract with Marshall Berle (Ratt, Van Halen) in '89 and showcased for producers Tom Werman and Cheap Trick's Rick Nielson. The band went on to record with Rick Nielson in 1990 but the project was never released due to a conflict between management and producer. Shock Tu eventually disbanded in '94.

In 2010 Shock Tu reformed for a series of shows as the resurgence of stadium rock was underway but 2012 is where the tie in between Jimmy and NEWMACHINE was made. Jimmy joined the Bon Jovi tribute band 'Keep The Faith' with NEWMACHINE guitarist Polo Staber. Friends ever since, it was just happenstance that Jimmy reached out to Polo around the same time Lonnie Vencent decided to move on to other things. With a conversation about NEWMACHINE, an audition was set up. Jimmy was sent all the material and had 48 hours to learn it. Suffice to say he came in well prepared nailing every song the first time through.

Jimmy Miller on joining NEWMACHINE: "I am beyond jazzed to be in NEWMACHINE! Most of my musical career has been spent in original projects, and of late I've made no secret about my frustration trying to find motivated and like-minded guys who want to write and play original melodic power rock. I'd been in other projects with Polo and Tommy and had jammed with Ryche and Zo, so I knew the guys and what they could do, so when I got the opportunity to join NEWMACHINE I jumped at it. It's been a whirlwind ever since--but a fun one! Can't wait to blast this stuff live."

"Jimmy is a monster on bass and in the studio. What he played on the songs took them to a whole new level. He is a total pro, comes prepared, eager to pitch in and accomplish the very same things we all want for this band. He is a class act." - Bill Chavis, HighVolMusic

The band now fully intact, NEWMACHINE went back in to the studio and re tracked all the bass parts for 'Karma'.
