Congrats To Maxwell For His Grammy, NAACP Wins



New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Last night, Maxwell took home his third Grammy-Award in the Best R&B Song category for "Lake By The Ocean."" He also won his second NAACP Image Award for ""Outstanding Male Artist"" this weekend.

Maxwell's past Grammy wins include "Best Male R&B Vocal Performance" for "Pretty Wings" and "Best R&B Album" for 'BLACKsummers'night.' This past November, he was also awarded "Best R&B/ Soul Male Artist" during the 2016 Soul Train Awards.

'blackSUMMERS'night (Columbia), the second installment of Maxwell's musical trilogy that encompasses his 20-year career, received stellar reviews from Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, SPIN, Complex to NPR, who raved that Maxwell's "transcendent 'Lake By the Ocean' is one of his best ever."
