Strand Of Oaks' "Raw And Forthcoming" 'Hard Love' Out Now
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Strand Of Oaks' "raw and forthcoming" (Consequence Of Sound) new album 'Hard Love' is out now on Dead Oceans. The highly anticipated follow up to 2014's 'HEAL' finds bandleader Tim Showalter caught between his hedonistic pursuit of rock 'n' roll transcendence and the mature demands of domestic life. With help from producer Nicolas Vernhes (The War on Drugs, Spoon), 'Hard Love' harnesses Showalter's unrelenting energy and channels it into nine of the most incendiary, ambitious songs in Strand Of Oaks' discography.

The record is already garnering high marks. Stereogum calls it "incredible" and praises its ability to "channel intimate, internal battles into universal catharsis." Bandcamp Daily named it an Album Of The Day, while the Philadelphia Inquirer deemed Strand Of Oaks "one of the leading lights of the Philadelphia rock renaissance."

Strand Of Oaks will tour extensively in 2017, with dates throughout Europe and the United States, including Boston Calling in May and dates with Jason Isbell. They will also be returning to Australia in April to perform at The Boogie Festival, which inspired 'Hard Love' track "On The Hill." See below for a full list of dates.
