Melody Federer Details Intimate Stories In When The Dogwoods Bloom
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Singer-songwriter, Melody Federer, released her new album When The Dogwoods Bloom, a collection of soulful tracks that are equally relatable and truthful. The album is beautifully layered with gentle sounds and authenticity in her voice, featuring the breathtaking breakout singles "Standing" and "Something To Show." When the Dogwoods Bloom is now available worldwide to download or stream.

Acting as a diary, When The Dogwoods Bloom gives listeners a deep insight into some of Federer's most intimate stories with each track highlighting a different chapter in her life. As heard on SiriusXM's Velvet and Coffeehouse stations, the first single, "Standing" sets of the tone for the rest of the album as a hopeful and light song that exudes a special warmth. Much like the rest of the album, "Standing" is structured with transparent lyrics that showcase Federer's ability to wear her heart on her sleeve. With lines like "I swore on a Bible that I was over you, but it was all a lie, you are my only truth and here we are, still standing," Federer makes it easy to connect with her listeners. The second single "Something To Show", which debuted on HelloGiggles, is an infectious and adventurous track that challenges people to stop running away from something as beautiful as love. "I felt the need to share a part of myself I haven't shared as a songwriter," Federer commented, "They are very personal songs but I feel like they'll resonate with the vulnerable parts of other people too." When The Dogwoods Bloom is a compilation of tracks full of meaning and honesty.

Originally from Dallas, Melody Federer knew at a young age that music was her passion when her father, a pastor, taught her to sing and play hymns on guitar. At age 20, she traveled to Paris with a jazz pianist and the duo went on to perform at local cafes and eventually festivals. The pair left Paris shortly after landing a recording deal in Los Angeles, but due to issues with the label the album never saw the light of day. Federer then parted ways with her partner and began to busk around Los Angeles until she secured a residency at a hotel lounge. During one of these sets, she met Grammy-nominated producer/songwriter, Billy Mann (Sting, P!nk, Robyn), who offered her a publishing deal with his company Green & Bloom, a joint venture with BMG. Since then, Federer has written songs for the likes of Hilary Duff, Kelly Rowland, and Jacob Whitesides, and has performed her solo material at legendary venues in Los Angeles such as Hotel Café, the House of Blues, The Harvard Club and more.

Rich with soulful flavors, When The Dogwoods Bloom is an album that can resonate with anyone. Whether it's the raw honesty, the melodic emotion or the captivating voice, Federer is sure to win over any listener.
