New York, NY (Top40 Charts) It's been a landmark year for rising Canadian country artist Brad Battle. Battle, who is from St. Catharines, Ontario, is a country singer whose story is similar to many of the country artists that currently top today's charts.

Battle started singing and writing at the age of 11, and starting playing in clubs with childhood friend Tim Hicks before he even finished high school. Through his teen years, he worked on his craft, and developed his songwriting skills. In his early twenties, Brad had the opportunity to share the stage with artists such as Blue Rodeo, Moxy Fruvous. Brad developed very strong vocals and became a strong performing and recording artist. The culmination of all that hard work led to a five-city stadium tour in the United States where he had the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of performing on a large stage, conduct meet-and-greets with fans, and experience the excitement of sharing his music with a large audience.

Battle then met the love of his life, Jodi, and focused on raising their young family together. Brad, a dedicated and hard-working family man, always had a feeling that if you have enough passion and work hard, you can achieve anything in life you set your mind to. He had told his then-nine-year-old daughter the same, when she said to him, "Daddy, could you still be a music artist if you wanted to? You work hard and you love it." Battle, stunned by his daughter's question, did not know how to respond - especially because she was absolutely right. Brad and his wife, Jodi, then discussed Brad returning to music. After seeing his childhood friend Tim Hicks successfully balance the demands of a country music career with family, Brad and Jodi decided it was time for him to return to the stage.

Almost as quick as Battle picked up his guitar, the phone started to ring, and one opportunity led to another — making 2017 one of the best years of Brad's career to date. With increasing crowds and sold-out shows, Battle is starting to feel the momentum behind him.

In late 2016, Battle teamed up with hit songwriter and producer Dwave Thomson (Lady Antebellum, Jessica Mitchell, Jason Benoit) and released his first radio single, "Hung-Up." In addition to being selected as CMT Canada's "Fresh Face" for October, Battle also shared the stage with Rivertown Saints, Jessica Mitchell, Beverley Mahood, Leah Daniels, and Megan Patrick.

Battle has now released his second single, "Always Easy," along with an EP of the same name. "Always Easy" is available on iTunes and Spotify.

Battle is currently working on new material with Dwave Thomson and has been collaborating with guitarist/songwriter Steve Zaborski. Brad and Steve had previously written together, and Steve performed with Brad on his five-city tour in the US.
Scheduled to start writing at Sony/ATV publishing in May 2017, Battle is incredibly excited.
"I'm finally getting to show my family the 'real me,' and with songs that I am really proud of! Balancing work and life isn't always easy," says Battle. "But I still believe that with enough passion and hard work, you can achieve anything you want in life, and you can do it in a way where you still maintain a balance, enjoy your family, and also enjoy all of the great things a career in country music has to offer."
