TJL Productions And My Music Present Johnny Mathis In "Wonderful! Wonderful!"

TJL Productions And My Music Present Johnny Mathis In "Wonderful! Wonderful!"

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) On June 10th, TJL Productions' MY MUSIC series will present WONDERFUL! WONDERFUL!, a concert performance film starring singer and musical legend Johnny Mathis. The program will air on public television stations nationwide that evening, and will support their June pledge drive. All of Johnny's big hits: "Chances Are," "Twelfth of Never, " "Wonderful! Wonderful!" It's Not For Me To Say," "Too Much, Too Little, Too Late" and other favorites are all performed live on stage by Johnny as he reflects on his successful career of 60+1 years.

60th Anniversary: Classic Singles and Favorite Songs is a new 4-CD box set that presents a comprehensive look at the singer's beloved U.S. top 20 Pop and Adult Contemporary hit singles (all presented in their original single mixes) and songbook standards alongside fan favorites, new-to-CD rarities and Johnny's own personal picks from over the years. The collection will be made exclusively available as a gift for viewers who make a pledge of support to their public television channel.

Mathis has been a household name since the summer of 1957 when he first appeared on Americans' television screens and was introduced to the record buying public. Mathis released a string of hits via Columbia Records, singing beautiful and romantic ballads, classic standards and the best songs from Broadway musicals. It was not uncommon for Mathis to have as many as four albums on the Billboard Top Albums chart at the same time. In late 1959, he recorded a song that became synonymous with the name of Johnny Mathis, the Erroll Garner composition, "Misty".

Mathis is one of the few recording artists to have Top 40 Hits spanning each of his first four decades as a recording artist. In 2013 his song with Jim Brickman "Sending You a Little Christmas" also became a hit, peaking at #4 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. Mathis has received five Grammy nominations during his career, and has been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame three times for "Chances Are", "Misty", and "It's Not For Me To Say". He has also been honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
