Recorded With Budapest Scoring - Get Out, Okja, And Star Wars: Rebels
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Budapest Scoring is proud to have hosted recording sessions for some of 2017's most exciting releases, including the international box office and critically acclaimed GET OUT, the Netflix film CLINICAL and series HATERS BACK OFF, and OKJA (official selection of Cannes Film Festival). Combining a state-of-the-art recording space in the historic and cultural heart of Hungary with world-class musicians, Budapest Scoring is becoming a top destination for international film, TV, and video game scoring sessions, for properties including like THE ELDER SCROLLS: ONLINE and TOTAL WAR: WARHAMMER and the Disney XD series STAR WARS: REBELS.

Michael Abels recorded the score for the $175 million box office smash GET OUT with Budapest Scoring. He said, "Budapest Scoring is a crucial resource for composers. They consistently deliver excellent musicians and recordings, suitable for projects with worldwide visibility. Their musicians play film music on a daily basis, and perform extended sound effect techniques with expertise and enthusiasm. Their sessions are brilliantly organized for maximum playing time, and deliver recordings that facilitate concise editing afterward. Highly recommended choice for all your live ensemble needs."

Also recorded in Budapest was the Netflix film CLINICAL. Composer Ian Hultquist explained "I had such an amazing experience working with Budapest Scoring on my score for CLINICAL. Everyone I worked with was incredibly helpful & professional, not to mention the outstanding talent of their players. I was lucky enough to get to record with a String section and a small choir, and both groups performed beautifully. Myself and the filmmakers were thrilled with the sound we captured with this Orchestra!"

Nestled in Central Europe, Budapest Scoring combines centuries of musical heritage with modern state-of-the-art analog and digital recording equipment. In the 1980s, film studios began looking locations outside of the US and UK to record the highest quality film music within their shrinking budgets and turned to Budapest. Becoming the first and one of the best-loved destinations for film scoring sessions, Budapest has hosted Jerry Goldsmith, Michel Legrand, Alan Menken, Ennio Morricone and others who flew to Hungary to record for their projects.
From heart of Hungary, the land of Liszt, Bartók, Kodály and Miklós Rózsa, composers can record their music and get a taste of Budapest, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

The orchestral players hail from the most prestigious Hungarian symphonic orchestras, and are trained in modern as well as classical techniques. The heart of the Budapest Scoring Symphonic Orchestra features members of Concerto Budapest, with over 100 years of history. For jazz recordings, Budapest Scoring partners with the Budapest Jazz Orchestra, the oldest professional big band in Hungary. Budapest Scoring's choral partners include the Zoltán Kodály Hungarian Choir School and the Cantate Adult Choir - the Grand Prize-winner of the Choir Olympics.

"The orchestra is able to play a wide variety of styles, including more difficult aleatoric music with bending string effects and 1/4 tone clusters. The conductor is amazing - fast, efficient and most importantly understanding the intent of the music. I love the rich warm sound they have and the wonderful passion they play with. I find them a step up from many of the other Eastern European orchestras, and always able to accommodate my unusual lineups and composition requests," said Timothy Williams, who recorded I.T., I'M NOT ASHAMED and DIABLO in Budapest.

"I've had the good fortune to work with Budapest Scoring on multiple occasions," said composer Douglas Pipes. "Budapest is a vibrant musical city and I look forward to recording with these fine musicians again!"

"One of the most fantastic experiences I've ever had," explained Kevin Kiner (STAR WARS: REBELS).
