Deering Banjo Added As Official Sponsor Of The 2018 Bluegrass And Blue Water Cruise Featuring Nu-Blu

Charleston, SC (Top40 Charts) The 2018 Bluegrass and Blue Water Cruise is pleased to announce that "The Great American Banjo Company" Deering, has just been added as the official sponsor. Fans will get an up-close and personal experience with some of bluegrass music's hottest acts, including genre favorites Nu-Blu, who will serve as the host band. The five day adventure will take place Jan. 6-11, porting in Charleston, S.C. on Carnival Cruise Lines to Freeport and Nassau, Bahamas. Other bands performing on the trip include Carolina Blue, The Hinson Girls and Carolina Express.

"Bluegrass Borderline" host Michelle Lee will return as the official emcee for the shows on board the Caribbean escape. In addition to round-the-clock entertainment, including late night jams and workshops with the artists, Bluegrass & Blue Water and Deering will also offer a special "History of Banjo" show, along with beginner courses teaching cruisers how to play a banjo.

Cruise pricing starts at just $600, with a limited number of cabins available. Reserve yours today by either booking online at BluegrassandBluewatercruise.com or calling 423-300-8225.

Hailing from Siler City, NC, the textbook definition of a picturesque small southern town, Nu-Blu's heart and soul is husband-and-wife duo Daniel and Carolyn Routh. Carolyn's caramel-coated soprano is one of the band's defining traits, at times a tender lullaby, at times a freight train headed straight for you, but always unwinding a surprising tale. Daniel is the group's backbone, a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist who also handles band management. TJ Honaker on vocals and banjo, and Clint White on fiddle/mandolin round out the quartet's warm, layered, American roots sound. Together they deliver upbeat, blazing-fingers pick work just as well as gentle, heartwarming ballads, and they do it all with a natural togetherness that can't be faked, forged over hundreds of shows on the road.
