Rock & Soul Band The Lionyls Announce Canadian Tour
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Ottawa Rock & Soul band The Lionyls are ready to hit the road touring west in support of their recently released self-titled debut album. The band created a buzz in 2014 when they won the Live 88.5 Big Money Shot. The tour will begin in Ontario and take them through Saskatchewan, Alberta and B.C.

The band's music truly comes to life in live performance, where their skillful musicianship, charismatic presence and raw energy invite the audience to join them deep in the groove. They have had the opportunity to play alongside international acts such as Duran Duran, Future, Nelly, A Tribe Called Red, July Talk, Serena Ryder, Sam Roberts, Souljazz Orchestra, The Strumbellas, and SonReal.

This 4-piece band formed in 2013, when Zach Raynor and Anto Rizzuti joined forces with Robbie Rigg and Alex Jee — formerly of The Mongrels. The musicians bonded immediately over their love for music, and its ability to connect and inspire people. They set out to create an organic sound that is both timeless and current, raw and refined.

The band will release a music video for "Midnight Hour" in early September. Lyric video: https://youtu.be/Utw7MWEEXmU

"It is surreal that our music is giving us the opportunity to travel and explore our country. This will actually be my first trek across Canada, and I'm excited to visit so many new places," says vocalist Raynor. "We're very proud of our album and we cannot wait to test our music in front of crowds that haven't yet seen us perform. Hopefully this is a small taste of what's to come!"

"I'm particularly excited about playing in Vancouver as I've experienced the live music scene from an audience member's perspective and noticed that Vancouver venues welcome artists with open arms and the crowds even more so," says bassist Jee. "I hope to experience the same as we make our way out west."
