NEW YORK (www.gigamerica.com) - Emails and reports have hit the underground urban scene as the Sony Urban Music Showcase 2004 series went to cities looking to sign artists to the Epic Records roster. With more than 25 cities of talented artists and some of them auditioning to be in a spot to perform and showcase their talent in front of A&R Vice President Joe Cerini, the artists came across even more dissappointment as no one was signed to the label.

Many promoters of the event in each city contacted each other to see if anyone from their showcase was picked up by the record label Vice President. Sony representatives in the California office were totaly unaware of any type of showcase being presented by the New York Office were Joe Cerini wroks giving many artists, managers, promoters and coordinators an uneasy feeling about the showcase series presented by the Vice President of Epic records Joe Cerini.

The company known as gigamerica, www.gigamerica.com had attempted to contact other record labels to join in on the showcase series with Epic records but refused due to descreprencies of a 60 day "first right of refusal" unknowingly presented to the artists. The current website of gigamerica shows that no one was signed to the Sony/Epic label and but guarantees that with new record label representatives of the 2005 showcase series someone will get signed.
