Tim Atwood Set To Release New Album This Fall

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) During his career, Tim Atwood has played behind some of the greatest Country Music performers of all time. But, in 2017, Atwood's star as a vocalist is shining brighter than ever as a solo artist on his own - with several shows, television appearances, and a new album project by year's end.

Atwood, who played in the staff band at the world-famous Grand Ole Opry for thirty-eight years, has developed a reputation as one of the most polished and energetic stage shows in the entertainment business, performing for audiences of all ages. Fans of his traditional style will have several opportunities to enjoy his music and story-telling abilities in the coming weeks.

On Thursday, September 7, Atwood will shine in the spotlight as a featured guest on Larry's Country Diner on RFD-TV. The popular staple of the network will air at 8pm/EST that evening, with a re-airing scheduled for Saturday, September 9 at 11pm / EST. The singer will also be featured on RFD's The Penny Gilley Show on Friday, September 8 in a performance filmed at the iconic Fort Worth Stockyards at Lil' Red's Longhorn Saloon. Also, Atwood will be a performer on an upcoming airing of Wednesday Night Prayer Meetingon RFD, sharing music and testimony with artists such as Country Music Hall of Famers The Oak Ridge Boys and Randy Travis, Linda Davis, and Mark Wills.

After a long career shining while playing at the Opry behind artists such as Garth Brooks and Carrie Underwood, 2017 has been a banner year for Tim Atwood on many levels as a performer in his own right. The Peoria, Illinois native - a recent winner of the Musician of the Year award from the Academy of Western Music - is also nominated for Musician of the Year as well as Entertainer of the Year at the upcoming ROPE (Reunion of Professional Entertainers) Awards set for October 5 in Music City. He's included with some of the most beloved artists in the format, such as Gene Watson and Jeannie Seely.

And, as a recording artist, his star is shining as never before. Atwood, signed to i2i Records has been touring non-stop around the United States to promote his faith-based album That Old Time Religion, which includes the break-out track "Let's All Go Down To The River," a performance with the sensational Mandy Barnett, which has earned a Top-5 ranking on the Cash Box Country / Gospel charts.

And, there's more music coming from Atwood - who earned his wings in the business playing for three years in the band of Jim Ed Brown. The singer is in the midst of completing his third Country disc, with the lead single and title cut "I'll Stand Up And Say So" primed for a Fall 2017 release. Needless to say, it's a busy time for Tim Atwood - and he's grateful for every bit of it.

"I am a blessed man, and I know it" Atwood humbly states. "I'm not sure where this journey will take me, but one thing is for sure. I am enjoying the ride."
