New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Whitney Rose announces her Rule 62 North American tour today, and shares one of life's more difficult types of lessons — the kind learned the hard way — with another track from the forthcoming full-length Rule 62. The new song, "Better to My Baby," is a rueful take on moving on, a dose of wistful hindsight and a piece of good advice all in one. Accompanied by a video that captures a relationship in candy-coated but bittersweet rear-view style, "Better to My Baby" features co-producer Raul Malo on lead guitar and harmonies.
Rule 62, or "Don't take yourself so damn seriously," is Whitney Rose's guiding philosophy. Other tastes from this album include "Arizona," described as a "blistering country kiss-off" by Wide Open Country, and the "rump-shaking jam" "Can't Stop Shakin'," which came with the official album announcement at Rolling Stone Country.
The album is due out on Six Shooter Records via Thirty Tigers on October 6, 2017.
Whitney Rose's North American tour starts in Texas and ends in Nashville. See below for details. Don't miss her at AmericanaFest 2017 (9/16, Mercy Lounge, 8 p.m.).
"Walking a line between pop/rock and retro country as gracefully as anyone since Rosanne Cash and Linda Ronstadt." —No Depression
