New York, NY (Top40 Charts) For the release of their new single,
Streets & Stories, Parisian duo Part-Time
Friends are presenting a video entirely designed by and for the Stories format, Instagram's star feature.
Part-Time
Friends Pauline and Florent made a name for themselves with Here We Are, chosen for the new Citroën C3's world advertising campaign. The brilliant duo also caused a sensation with their stunning live performance at the 2017 Francofolies festival. Today, they are back with
Streets & Stories the first single taken from their forthcoming album, scheduled for release in January 2018.
Co-written and produced in Los Angeles with Rune Westberg, the electrifying video was shot in Tokyo by the directing partnership of
Robin & Cako. Based on a unique concept, it was entirely planned and produced in the Instagram's star Stories format using a split-screen effect: 2 views side by side with each one telling part of the story.
The duo's fans can meet Part-Time
Friends on the @instagramfr (tap on the Stories icon) account on Tuesday
September 26 until 6 pm.
Pauline and Florent will be talking about their partnership and explaining the video's background from the original idea to its creative aims.

About the project
"For a long time now, we have wanted to make a video like this, where two sequences shot separately come together to tell a single story: ours.
When planning
Streets & Stories, the idea was to break with the usual way in which we use Instagram every day. Here, the platform is not just a medium, but an authentic tool whose features are used to develop the scenario, the cut and the different actions" Part-Time

"Part-Time
Friends and their label Un Plan
Simple confronted us with a genuine challenge: a video in Instagram stories.
We wanted to use the application as a medium for thought while bypassing its specific codes. A single story was not enough. We wanted two, side by side, to reveal a new narrative. We had to break down the barriers between the real world and the Internet, using living emojis and fueling imagination by adding them at the editing stage"

"Part-Time
Friends are a group who are instinctively in tune with the zeitgeist. Incorporating Instagram with all its codes and possibilities in both the concept of the video and its distribution illustrates this perfectly. We are delighted that Instagramfr has decided to back us and add to this unique approach"
