Liverpool Music Week 2017 Final Line Up Announced
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) With just two weeks until the madness begins, LIVERPOOL MUSIC WEEK 2017 are pleased to announce a huge list of additional names to this year's already bumper festival line up, which begins on Thursday 26th October at the opening party headlined by CHIC feat. NILE RODGERS at Liverpool's Echo Arena.

As always, at its core LMW is about reflecting and championing the best of Liverpool's culturally diverse and historically rich music scene, and the 2017 festival line up is bursting with choice for those in search of something different.

Newly confirmed to open this year's festival before CHIC's appearance with a very special Disco Classic covers set are the 8-strong Sense of Sound Singers choir under the musical direction of Jennifer John, in what is set to be a very special way to open one of the biggest shows of the year, alongside Liverpool Disco Festival DJs, who will soundtrack the opening night with CHIC at Liverpool Echo Arena.

The biggest reveal of the latest announcement is the full line-up for the unmissable LMW Closing Party that has been programmed in association with 10 Years of much-loved local blog Getintothis. The Closing Party takes place on 4th November across the Invisible Wind Factory & Northshore Troubadour venues, featuring 4 stages and a supporting programme curated by the Merseyside blog to help celebrate their milestone anniversary year.

Joining headliners EVERYTHING EVERYTHING, AJ TRACEY, PERFUME GENIUS and ZOLA JESUS, a huge raft of the finest in upcoming talent from the North West has just been added to the bill:

Festival Director Mike Deane commented on the news: "We're thrilled that the good folks at Getintothis are working so closely with us on the support artist programme this year, which is just as important as ever as we enter our 15th year anniversary festival as it was in 2003.

Getintothis' knowledge, understanding & enthusiasm for the Liverpool scene is unmatched by anyone else and we thought it was only fitting to invite Getintothis for a very special curatorial role in this year's festival to celebrate their very own incredible milestone of 10 years in the game."

Elsewhere across the festival, Deep Hedonia & God Unknown present BLANCK MASS with BONNACONS OF DOOM and DIALECT footing the bill, whilst STEALING SHEEP and MAKENESS join JUNGLE.

TVME and AGP will be warming up the room for CHILDHOOD, with Positive Vibrations bringing DUB DEFENDER DJ's to the DAWN PENN show, GOD COLONY, ALEC TRONIK and GLITTERF*CK are all added to the white hot PRINCESS NOKIA ticket, and local favourites LOVED ONES and HER'S join GENGAHR.

As ever, the always popular DIY 'BREAKING OUT' series of shows returns this year to the hallowed vaults of Heebie Jeebie's.
