Regal Star Entertainment Presents This Fall's Breakout Release From Brooklyn's Hottest Funk-Pop Act The Clubs
New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Regal Star Entertainment) "Funk on the Floor" is the sophomore release from The Clubs, a 9-piece horn filled band headed by lead powerhouse singer Ian Kirkman. "The music this band has been making, is groundbreaking," Ian says. "It's an American album, gritty, fun, joyful and overflowing with soul. I don't write music to fit into something, I write music that becomes something new, music that transcends and transforms, and above all, music that you can really dance to."

Hitting stores and digital outlets TODAY, Funk on the Floor is a full throated non-stop melodic and lyrical explosion.

Ian Kirkman continues to draw new audiences to his versatile and welcoming feel good ensemble. His 70s inspired, soulful, speak song lyrics and songwriting have moved The Clubs into a very special niche on the New York Funk-Pop scene.

The band, road tested in the US and Europe has been formulating a sound that is at once old and soulful and at the same time new and full of rhythm and harmonic changes. Funk on the Floor (FOTF) does not bore. It is a true album from start to finish and every song has its rightful place balancing out what ostensibly is a dance record.

Funk on the Floor is an instant classic.

The Clubs will be celebrating the release with a now almost SOLD OUT SHOW at Drom in New York City's East Village on October 22nd @ 7pm.

The Clubs then head to Europe where they will be playing at the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival for the 2nd year in a row.
