Mighty, Powered By Spotify, Is Now The Driverless Music Player
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) "For most of us, the problem with the iPod shuffle was that it was usually in a drawer somewhere, full of stale playlists, and seldom updated with new music." Mendelson says that's because the sync process was cumbersome and time consuming. "We've designed a way around that."

Mighty, developer of the world's first portable music player to take your streaming music offline without a phone, announces Stay Fresh, a feature that turns the tiny device into an "autonomous" music player. The ultra-portable Mighty now awakens itself in the night, finds a trusted WiFi signal, and proceeds to top off with fresh music from your Spotify account - while its owner sleeps. The result of this bot-like behavior is a device that is always ready with new content to take on-the-go, without your phone.

"Think iPod shuffle meets the driverless car," says Mighty CEO Anthony Mendelson. "For most of us, the problem with the iPod shuffle was that it was usually in a drawer somewhere, full of stale playlists, and seldom updated with new music." Mendelson says that's because the sync process was cumbersome and time consuming. "We've designed a way around that."

The Stay Fresh feature enables effortless, wireless syncing of the device. This innovation emphasizes access to always fresh content over manual music management. Or, as Mendelson likes to say, a "fresh not fussy" user experience.

Mighty's latest software update includes a host of other improvements that resulted from Mighty's close relationship with its growing community of users. "Our user base includes some fans who are really engaged," Mendelson says with a smile. "They tell us what we need to do better, and we listen."

Other updates include a shuffle feature (a no-brainer), improved auxiliary cord support for wired speakers (Mighty has a standard 3.5mm headphone jack as well as Bluetooth connectivity for wireless headphones), and improved battery life.
