Jaya The Cat Premiere 'Amsterdam' Music Video

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Amsterdam-based Drunk-Reggae-Punks, Jaya The Cat have premiered the new music video for 'Amsterdam' - Taken from the band's new album, 'A Good Day For The Damned'. The new album is set for a November 17th release through Bomber Music.

Speaking on the meanings behind the track, vocalist Geoff Lagadec said "It's always amused me how Amsterdam has the reputation as the epicenter of hedonism in Europe and how it stacks up against reality. People come here with the expectation of it being totally mad, but most bars close at one on the weekdays. I was walking home drunk one night thinking about this. I stopped on the bridge over the canal in front of my house and thought, 'you know what? This city is one of the most beautiful places i've ever seen and I love it.'"

Originating in Boston, Massachusetts in 1998, Jaya the Cat promptly relocated to Amsterdam, Netherlands after their first European tour. With a crew of diverse and international musicians, they continue perfecting the art of making that pure musical cocktail to get you through this night and on to the next - With equal parts reggae, punk, ska, a splash of electronics and a sprig of dub with a shot of whiskey on the side.

'A Good Day For The Damned' is a natural progression of Jaya The Cat's unique and upbeat sound. Winding down city streets and across moonlit beaches, staggering past carnivals and drunken sunrises, come 15 new tales of heartbreak and happiness, political confusion (and who hell isn't confused nowadays with that orange haired maniac running things), existential madness, but in the end, overall optimism.

'A Good Day For The Damned' is available to pre-order on CD, 12" vinyl and digital download: http://store.bombermusic.com/
