Nelson Can Celebrate A Very Scandinavian Christmas 'On Christmas Night'

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Danish trio NELSON CAN are rounding off a huge year in style by revealing a special Christmas single 'On Christmas Night', which is out now on Alcopop! Records and has already crashed into Spotify's Indie Christmas and New Music Friday Denmark playlists.

The news comes alongside a freshly revealed run of Danish tour dates for 2018 (see below for details), with further UK dates to be announced over the coming months.

Commenting on the track, the band said: "The song is about Christmas from a Scandinavian point of view. The further up north you go, the darker the days are during Christmas and the increasing hours of sunlight after Winter Solstice on December 21st or 22nd still play a very central role in the Christmas celebrations here, hence the chorus 'Solstice in sight. We don't have to wait anymore. We will be bathed in light on Christmas night'.

"We wanted to make a Christmas song that combined the Christmas we know from modern-day western culture with the old hedonistic celebration of the return of the sun."

The band's recent run of packed-out UK tour dates supporting JAWS included a raucously received pit stop at London's premiere Nordic music night JaJaJa Music, with the trio also announced just last month for the 2018 leg of Denmark's Roskilde Festival alongside Bruno Mars, Gorillaz, David Byrne and more.

Their recently released Danish Official Top 40 Vinyl Chart #1 record EP3 is out now on Alcopop! Records, with further UK tour dates TBA for 2018.
