The band spent most of 2017 steadily drip-feeding a series of single which saw them picking up support from the likes of Clash Magazine, Spotify, Apple Music, BBC introducing and Amazing Radio, recently racking up over 100,000 streams on Spotify to date.

Alongside the single news the band are also pleased to announce a handful of select UK live dates for the coming months (see below for details) including two shows in Manchester and London supporting fast-rising pop rock band Y.O.U.N.G.

Commenting on the new track, the band said: "This song is for everyone that has ever had to let go of someone important in life. It started off as something pretty mellow and completely different to our usual style, but we felt it had potential so kept hammering away at it. Eventually we made it explode into something special and now we absolutely fucking love it. Playing it live sends us and the crowd nuts because of the pure energy it brings. We have loads more to give this year and we think this track really shows what we're made of."

'Fall' was produced, mixed and mastered by Oz Craggs (Feed The Rhino/Neck Deep/Mallory Knox) at Hidden Track Studios in Kent with whom the band have recorded all of their releases so far.

More info:
Childhood friends hailing from Walthamstow, East London , this fresh guitar driven four-piece launched themselves with their debut single Run in November 2016 - since then, the band have gone from strength to strength on nothing but their own merit.

Independent and proud, Shanghai Blues had already travelled the length of the UK within their first 12 months alongside Glass Caves, Theme Park and Palace, and they continue to regularly sell out London shows to their insatiable and ever-growing fan base.

Their hugely diverse array of influences ranges from Kanye West, Jimi Hendrix and J HUS to the likes of Dinosaur Pile-Up, B.B. King, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Led Zeppelin, The Strokes and Spring King.

Following Spring 2017 tour dates alongside Glass Caves, Theme Park and Palace, the band have been racking up Spotify plays with appearances on several high-profile lists including The Indie List, Hot New Bands and Fresh Finds, plus support at Apple Music (Best Of The Week), Abbie McCarthy at BBC Introducing and various international radio stations. Music Week, It's All Indie, Punktastic and a swathe of other blogs have also recently lent their voices to the band's lengthy list of early champions.

Hot on the coattails of their early 2017 single releases 'Those Three Words', 'Tense' and 'Night Tears', which saw the band selling out their debut headline show in London at The Social (Heavenly Records) earlier this year, SWIM is another confident step forward for this quartet crafting their songs with a hugely diverse array of influence from artists including J Hus, Kanye West, Dinosaur Pile Up, The Strokes and Mooseblood.
