From Turin Italy - The Black City Family Band Lays Down New Tracks
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) When something is hot music fans will take note and this team of musicians is red hot. Whether they are performing in their home town of Rivoli or they are booked to be out on the road by booking agent Stefania Cilli this quartet has got it working. They've just added fourteen new songs to their repertoire and introduced these original selections as part of their new stage act titled, The Pulpy Funky Show. Plus the band just shot their latest music video at The Hobbit House entitled, "What The Funk You Want?".

One of the very interesting notations one can come away with after meeting with the band is that their sound has roots that lead back to their early days and those roots lead back to Frank Zappa's body of work. Obviously The Black City Family Band has evolved since their early influences and today delivers their own fresh sound but Mr. Zappa's influences are indeed evident.

As yours truly toured through northern Italy with the band I got to witness first hand their kindness to others, their dedication to musical perfection, and their stage presence. Three key attributes that allow a band to stand out. In fact I was pleasantly surprised that their stage sound matched their studio sound which means that if you like the live sound you are going to like the recorded sound as well.
