New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The latest work by Scott L. Simon is every bit as unpredictable and dynamic as the early work with electronica duo Frontside (100 greatest Australian dance tracks of all time, inthemix (2015): #73 Frontside - Dämmerung [Abducted Records]). Scott has released on Wax Trax, Abducted, To The Bone, Mushroom music. The unique beats that put his work on Sasha and Digweed's Northern Exposure are here in abundance on the new tracks: Odyssey Planet is a melody-fuelled slammer; Thor is a driving techno track that is a guaranteed floor-filler. The more weird and (dare I say) Jazz-like components of the music are in full effect on this album: Constellation Theory and Stopping the World don't fit neatly into any pigeon hole. Guitar improvisation and electronic pads are arranged around complex chord progressions.
