New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Grammy nominated singer-songwriter BJ The Chicago Kid releases The Opening Ceremony, a collection of three new songs including "Going Once, Going Twice", "Nothing Into Something", and "Rather Be With You". Available online now, the three new tracks will appear on Kid's forthcoming sophomore album expected later this year via Motown Records/Universal Music Canada, the country's leading music company. BJ The Chicago Kid's debut album, In My Mind, received a plethora of praise from The New York Times, NPR, Rolling Stone, Noisey, Vibe, Vice, and Ebony among others. Kid was requested to sing alongside Marvin Gaye's recorded vocals in the iconic "What's Going On" by Gaye's estate itself. Kid also performed the national anthem for former President Obama's farewell speech.
