Mary Lattimore Shares Track "Never Saw Him Again"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Memories - places, vacancies, allusions - are fundamental characters in Mary Lattimore's evocative craft. Inside her music, wordless narratives, indefinite travelogues, and braided events skew into something enchantingly new. The Los Angeles-based harpist recorded her breakout 2016 album, 'At The Dam', during stops along a road trip across America, letting the serene landscapes of Joshua Tree and Marfa, Texas color her compositions. In 2017, she presented 'Collected Pieces', a tape compiling sounds from her past life in Philadelphia: odes to the east coast, burning motels, and beach town convenience stores.

In addition to her own music, Mary also writes harp parts for songs and recordings, performing and recording with such great artists as Meg Baird, Thurston Moore, Sharon Van Etten, Jarvis Cocker, Kurt Vile, Steve Gunn, Ed Askew and Fursaxa. She has been a part of soundtrack projects including the Valerie Project, Lopapeysa, a film by David Kessler set in Iceland, and the film score for Marina Abramovic: the Artist is Present, a documentary about the artist. In March 2013, she accompanied Nick Cave's beautiful horse soundsuits for the 100th anniversary of Grand Central Station in New York City.

Now, in 2018, from a restorative station — a redwood barn, nestled in the hills above San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge — emanates 'Hundreds of Days', her second full-length LP with Ghostly International. The record sojourns between silences and speech, between microcosmic daily scenes and macrocosmic universal understandings, between being alien in promising new places and feeling torn from old native havens. It's an expansive new chapter in Lattimore's story, and an expression of mystified gratitude. A study in how ordinary components helix together to create an extraordinary world.
'Hundreds of Days' is available to pre-order now from The Ghostly Store or at the retailer of your choice.

"It's on her solo albums that she fully indulges her talent for the romantic, windswept gesture… Enchanting." - Uncut "A veritable sky of sound." - NPR "Lattimore has a way of highlighting the harp's percussive, melodic, and psychedelic qualities, offering much more than mere angelic eminence." - Pitchfork

With her new album 'Hundreds of Days' set for release this Friday, May 18th, via Ghostly International), LA-based composer/harpist Mary Lattimore has shared a third and final preview ahead of the record's release.

"Never Saw Him Again" gives another glimpse of the blissful and singular approach to harp-playing, conjuring vivid and compelling soundscapes, that set Lattimore apart from other soloists. Listen to "Never Saw Him Again" below:
