"Ocean's 8" Opening Weekend Rumored To Raise $30 Million
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) If you missed the unforgettable story about a lovable gang of criminals created by the director Steven Soderbergh, then this summer you have something to be waiting for as yet another spinoff of the famous franchise is scheduled to hit the big screens.

The original movie based on the 1960's classic novel of the same name starred has earned an impressive amount of 450 Million US Dollars worldwide becoming one of the classic gambling movies of all times. However, the new film is not going to take the viewers to a casino, instead, the action will take place in New York City during the Met Gala event, known to be attended by numerous celebrities, wearing the top-notch designers fashions and jewelry, where the where the Ocean's 8 is developing clever and elaborate schemes to get their hands on a necklace, worth an impressive amount of $150 million.



The main distinctive feature of the upcoming spin-off is its all-female cast, starring Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, and Awkwafina. The premier scheduled on June 8 is estimated to gather 30 mln, yet their definitely some fear that the film may follow in steps of 2016's fiasco "Ghostbusters," which never managed the cost of its production and advertising campaign, and finally ended up losing the studio almost $50 mln. Another factor playing against the movie is that it will have to compete against the fourth weekend of Deadpool 2 as well as the week of Solo: A Star Wars Story, with many potential attendees might rather prefer going to one of the above.
