New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Man's best friend... or is he? The Voms new music video for "Left Right" takes a comical perspective of urgent cravings and crude problem-solving, as an adorable canine takes a turn for the dark side, plotting revenge against his owner. Premiered on Alt Dialogue, the track fuses noise-pop, experimental punk beats, and alternative-indie rock for "truly one of a kind sound." With a driving floor tom setting the pace, "Left Right" builds into an upbeat and addictive earworm that will having you coming back for more.

Frontman Beau Harris shared the story behind the video's inspiration. "I wanted to do a video where my dog, Vinnie, takes matters into his own paws and kills me for not sharing my food with him. In real life, he's an adoring little street pup we got from Texas, and he is VERY serious about his food. He was only a few months old when the rescue organization found him, sleeping on an abandoned sofa in a back alley. And he still loves to snatch a bit of street trash any chance he gets when he can pull away from us on his leash in the Brooklyn streets. So it was perfect because it's basically a little 'two-act' story: in the first act - human won't share with doggie; in the second act - doggie plots and carries out his sweet, sweet revenge. And "Left Right" has that 'two-act' format where it's basically a nice, short, driving 'verse-chorus' song, repeated once." The Voms provide a refreshing burst of creative, original, DIY-talent, but aren't afraid to embrace their light-hearted and fun side as showcased in the video.

Working with the dogs, adorable as they may be, wasn't an easy feat. "I'd had all these grand visions about how the scenes were going to be shot," laughed Harris. "I'd worked out all of the camera angles and what the dogs would need to be doing, when, where and how... and literally within two minutes of starting to film, I realized NONE of that was going to happen, so we just needed to shoot whatever the hell we could, and improvise from there." Perseverance and adaptability have become second nature to Harris, whose debut album I Want My Rock Stars Dead, was recorded in Australia and released after his relocation to New York City. "Left Right", which comes off the release, was one of the first songs to be finished on the album. "The songs were deliberately stripped down to the absolute raw basics. I wanted to record and master the songs to sound like what you'd hear if you saw the band live, without over-production. In order to help achieve this, I had it mastered by Bob Weston (bassist from the band Shellac, and Assistant Engineer on Nirvana's In Utero). I ultimately wanted it to be a situation where the band could just turn up at any venue, plug in and go, no matter how busted up the house equipment might be."

"Left Right" and I Want My Rock Stars Dead are available for stream and purchase on Spotify, Bandcamp (digital and physical), Apple Music and all major digital retailers. The Voms plan to hit the studio this summer, recording a new EP to be released this fall. The new release will be "almost exclusively inspired by Brooklyn and the positivity, opportunity and encouragement provided by NYC... harder, faster, sweeter." Additionally, The Voms will be performing July 20 at the Tender Trap in Brooklyn, NY, with further local and regional dates to come.
