Panic! At The Disco Earns Second Consecutive No 1 On Billboard's Top 200 Albums Chart
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Grammy-nominated band Panic! At The Disco have earned their second consecutive No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart with their critically acclaimed sixth album, Pray For The Wicked. Debuting at No. 1 on iTunes in 22 countries, the album launched with 180,000 equivalent album units earned, 151,000 of which were traditional album sales. Both figures represent the biggest week for an alternative rock album in 2018, according to Billboard. According to Nielsen Music, the album saw the fifth-largest week for a vinyl effort since the company began tracking sales in 1991. Lead single "Say Amen (Saturday Night) is also currently No. 1 on Billboard's Alternative Songs Chart and current single "High Hopes" is exploding at streaming services.

Produced by Jake Sinclair, Pray For The Wicked was announced in March after a week of cryptic clues that set the internet a buzz. Last Friday, P!ATD continued its hold on American TV airwaves with explosive performances of "Say Amen (Saturday Night)", "High Hopes", and fan favorite "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" on Today Show's Citi Summer Concert Series in New York's Famed Rockefeller Plaza. Leading up to the albums release the band made appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Ellen Degeneres Show, NBC's The Voice.

Frontman Brendon Urie recently launched Highest Hopes Foundation (HHF) - an umbrella foundation created to support the efforts of non-profit organizations that lead, develop, and advocate support for human rights for all people and communities subject to discrimination or abuse on the basis of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation and gender identity. The first of many donations to come, Urie pledged a one million dollar donation to GLSEN to provide resources, training, and support to students working to created student-led GSA clubs in their K-12 schools last week. Panic! At The Disco will be allocating $1 of every ticket from the U.S. dates of the band's headline arena Pray For The Wicked Tour to HHF and in the coming days and months, Urie and the foundation will announce upcoming donations and activations with a variety of charitable organizations.

Next week, Panic! At The Disco will embark on the first leg of their Pray For The Wicked Tour in support of the album, which has sold out multiple venues including Madison Square Garden in New York City and STAPLES Center in Los Angeles. Produced by AEG presents, the tour's first leg will kick off on July 11, 2018 in Minneapolis, MN, and will visit arenas throughout the summer before concluding in the band's hometown of Las Vegas on August 18, 2018. A R I Z O N A and Hayley Kiyokoprovide support.

This fall, Panic! At The Disco will embark on an international run of dates visiting Australia, Japan, New Zealand, The Philippines, and Mexico in October. In January, the band will return to the road in North America for the second leg of the Pray For The Wicked Tour. The 28-city leg, which kicks off on January 10, 2019 in Buffalo, NY, and wraps on February 20, 2019 in Sacramento, CA, will feature support from Two Feet.

Pray For The Wicked follows Panic! At The Disco's critically acclaimed fifth album, Death Of A Bachelor, which was released on January 15, 2016 via Fueled By Ramen/DCD2 Records. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Chart and was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2017 GRAMMY Awards. The RIAA platinum selling release was the highest selling rock album and fourth-highest selling album released in 2016, according to Nielsen Soundscan. The album has also spawned RIAA certified gold tracks "Hallelujah," "LA Devotee," "Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time" and platinum "Victorious," "Death Of A Bachelor," and "Emperor's New Clothes." Most recently, frontman Brendon Urie starred as Charlie Price in the critically acclaimed, TONY Award-winning Broadway hit Kinky Boots.
