New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Dawn Landes' upcoming record 'Meet Me At The River' (August 10 / Yep Roc Records) features contributions from six decades of Nashville legends, including Country Music Hall of Fame producer Fred Foster, but her calls to action on "Keep On Moving" are very much rooted in our present moment. "These past few years have been so charged. I've been inspired by people voicing their beliefs and taking to the streets for various causes," Landes tells The Tennessean of her original. The song's lyrics serve as a rallying cry for rising up in the name of peace, justice and freedom, name-checking the legendary activist Peace Pilgrim, who walked America for 28 years with those same goals in mind.

At the heart of 'Meet Me At The River' is the partnership between Landes (whose previous collaborators include Sufjan Stevens, Nico Muhly and Norah Jones) and Foster, who has produced for Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Roy Orbison and Ray Price. This unlikely pairing is the result of Landes' longtime love of the Countrypolitan sound, and Foster's admiration for great songwriting when he hears it - in this instance hearing it clearly enough to come out of a decade-long retirement.

The Nashville Scene has declared that 'Meet Me At The River' "showcases why the players involved are so highly regarded, as they provide superb support for the singer and the story she's telling." This illustrious group includes 13-time Academy of Country Music Drummer of the Year Eddie Bayers, Country Music Hall of Famer Charlie McCoy, Elvis studio vet Bobby Wood and even a cameo from Bobby Bare, whose placed 70 hits on the country charts throughout his unmatched solo career. With their playing, an entirely new dimension is added to Landes' ten originals and the album's two Jimmy Driftwood covers (who Foster worked closely with in the 1960s).

Landes will bring 'Meet Me At The River' to life across America this summer, including intimate release shows in Nashville, New York, Los Angeles. A full list of dates is below.
